Star Wars 2.5' New Millennium Falcon

I'm talking about the (really) BIG Corellian ships now. When the OTC Millenium Falcon came out in 2003 which was retooled from the original vintage Kenner mold I only dreamed of having a larger scale Falcon and Hasbro responded, though as impressive looking as the new larger scale Falcon is, it is only frustratingly as cool as it should have been. Like Han's beloved ship, this bucket of bolts is always falling apart.

The Pros: IT'S MASSIVELY HUGE! Probably the biggest and best scaled Star Wars vehicle ever made and it's the next best thing to owning the bank-breaking Master Replicas Studio Scale prop replica costing thousands more. The cockpit now accommodates up to 4 action figures and illuminates when one of 3 different buttons are pressed that make the "hyperdrive," "liftoff" and "flyby" sounds while the hyperdrive glows a cool blue hue. Ok ... this was way too much money to spend on a toy but I remenber how much I loved the millennium falcon as a kid. I got in when out of town and you should have seen the looks I got from some of the kids when I was halling this huge thing through the airport. Some of the dads too.

My son loves playing with this toy. It has become the stage for all his star wars play. The sounds and lights are a nice touch. There is a lot of areas to explore.

One problem is the bottom landing gear don't stay on. I suggest tossing them. It works fine without them.

All in all, great toy if you want spoil your kid a little.

Make no mistake about it, this is the best Millennium Falcon for 3.5 figures ever. The Falcon is HUGE, and the detail is incredible. Probably the best Star Wars 3.5 figure vehicle ever made.

I like it because it looks great on my desk; a great nod to my childhood memories. However, as a toy for a child, it's probably not so good. Frankly as its quite big, and I think would be hard to hold for them to run around the house holding it to make it "fly".

Again, it's HUGE, and the small detailed pieces can be broken easily, such as the chairs in the cockpit, and the landing gear.

So, if you are looking for an incredible Falcon reproduction for 3.5 figures, it's a no-brainer and worth the high price in my opinion. If it is for a child to be used as a toy (as intended) be prepared for broken and missing pieces.
